We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise-level database solutions.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle database solutions.
Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and complex queries.
Analyze and improve database and application performance through query optimization and performance tuning.
Design and maintain database schemas, data models, indexes, constraints, and other database objects.
Support integration between Oracle databases and enterprise applications.
Troubleshoot database-related performance and data issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Participate in solution architecture and technical design discussions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.
Collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, business analysts, and other technical teams.
Support database deployment, migration, upgrade, and release activities.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Required qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in Oracle database development, preferably in large-scale or enterprise environments.
Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
Strong experience developing:
Stored procedures and functions
Packages
Triggers
Views and materialized views
Complex SQL queries
Strong experience with SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning and optimization.
Good understanding of relational database design, data modelling, normalization, indexing, and query execution plans.
Experience working with large datasets and high-volume transactional systems.
Familiarity with Oracle development and diagnostic tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, SQL*Plus, AWR, ADDM, and Explain Plan.
Experience with Git or another version-control system.
Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a technical team.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, partitioning, and database links.
Understanding of Oracle database administration concepts.
Experience with ETL/data migration and integration projects.
Experience with REST APIs, Java, Python, or other technologies interacting with Oracle databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD and automated database deployment processes.
Experience working with mission-critical, financial, governmental, telecom, or other large enterprise information systems.
